Rizzoli and Isles Fan Fiction

Why Rizzoli and Isles Fan Fiction? My late friend Norma always asked, "Watching Rizzoli and Isles yet?"

 

I never found the time, but after she passed away I thought, "You know what? I'm going to watch this show for Norma." I regretted it -- not watching the show, mind you. I was sorry for not watching it sooner so she and I could gossip about it together (and make some Xena comparisons along the way since she and I meet as Xenites). These two characters couldn't be more 'married' if they were... married. : ) Angie Harmom and Sasha Alexander just have a natural chemistry with each other that can't be faked. I also love the supporting cast of both newcomers and veteran character actors / actresses. They've also managed to snag a fair share of well-known guest stars over the years too, which is fun when writing Rizzoli and Isles fan fic.

 

One of the things I like about the show, aside from the subtext, is the camp. It's campy and filled with cop show clichés (whether it's 'opposite attract' partners, 'cop talk' or the flatfoot that's a month from retirement that gets shot). Intentional or not, it just makes for fun television and I like playing with all of them. It doesn't matter if it's in shipper / Rizzles fics or general fics about these colorful characters. I'll admit, I tried to read a R & I short story (since these TNT characters are based on a series of books by Tess Gerritsen) but the characters just didn't jump off the pages for me like the television series does. Sue me. I'm visual. I like the 'eye sex' of Harmon and Alexander. :)

 

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this Rizzoli and Isles Fan Fiction and hopefully, somewhere, somehow, Norma's able to enjoy them too.

Take a Chance On Me - Set after the Season Two finale when Jane shoots Maura's biological father and the fallout that ensues written before the Season Three premier.

 

sui caedere - Jane arrives at work to find her partner has died and speculation of his death begins. Warning: Suicide, character death and other upsetting themes are within this one.
